Culminating over 40 years of development, the Nike Blazer Mid '77 Suede Shoes still maintains the essentials of the court classic with a modern twist. The sharp suede upper is both soft to touch and soft on the eyes in its thunderstorm blue colourway, with layered panels surrounding the toe box giving the shoe a deconstructed aesthetic. White contrast details expose the tongue and the side panels have been decorated by a leather swoosh that joins at the heel tab. Additional subtle details include an embossed Nike logo and a sail midsole for a worn-in look straight out of the seventies.
Due to its heritage as a basketball shoe, comfort has always been an essential for the blazer mid. It’s raised collar and foam tongue provides both support and cushioning, something mirrored in its cushioned sockliner. Finally the signature herringbone patterning across the outsole provides traction both on and off the court.
The Blazer has naturally been reinvented over the decades, however ultimately the originals that lead to its popularity are an essential with any outfit. Nike’s seasons, despite providing constant innovation in terms of new products often touch on vintage classics that are built to last generations.
